Welcome to Scottish Kidney Federation
The Scottish Kidney Federation are advocates for renal patients and their Associations throughout Scotland.
The Federations aim throughout the country is to promote best renal medical practice, treatment, care and services.
How do we do this?
Collate, coordinate and promote information from Government, the National Health Service and other Kidney charities such as National Kidney Federation, Kidney Research UK, British Kidney Patient Association etc.
Coordinate the views concerns and requirements of kidney patients and their associations. Communicate, promote and champion these issues with The National Health Service, Government, other relevant bodies and the general public.
To represent patients interests by having representation on appropriate committees at NHS and Government level.
We have access to the BKPA/NKF Advocacy Officer for advice on benefits, grievances and other queries from patients and their associations and we have access to an extensive source of information for renal related issues.
- Initiate programmes and projects in support of these aims.
